Requirements
To obtain a Manager's Certificate, you must:
- Be at least 20 years old
- Pass the Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)
- Demonstrate experience in the hospitality industry
- Be of good character
The LCQ Qualification
The Licence Controller Qualification is a nationally recognised qualification that covers:
- New Zealand liquor laws
- Host responsibility
- Identifying intoxication
- Managing difficult situations
Renewal Requirements
Manager's Certificates are valid for 3 years. To renew, you need to demonstrate ongoing training and compliance with licensing requirements.
